Friends of the Mansfield Free Public Library Is Holding Yearly Book Sale!
The Friends of the Mansfield Free Public Library’s Yearly Book Sale begins this Saturday. Lasting all week, the book sale takes place at the Old School in Covington. All money spent at the sale benefits the Mansfield Library, going towards refurbishments. Alice Gottschall, chair women of the book sale, said, “This year, one of the things we’re hoping to do with some of the money we raise is to get the inside of the library refurbished somewhat. Basically, painting which is not a small endeavor.”
Gottschall also pointed out why the book sale is important. “I always feel good that we have such a huge turnout because that means people are still reading.” Commenting the support, Gottschall comments, “The volunteerism is overwhelming to me. That we did all this in two days. Most of it was done, a great deal of it was done yesterday but obviously there was so many people that helped and that’s why.”
The book sale begins this Saturday, April 20th and will last until Saturday, April 27th. Hours on weekends are from 10am to 4pm. Hours on weekdays will be from 10am to 6pm.
