First COVID-19 Death In Tioga County

by James Nobles / Tioga County COVID-19 Task Force - April 11, 2020

It is with great sorrow I report that today the Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed the first death for Tioga County.

With positive cases increasing to 12, as well as one resident succumbing to the virus, now is the time for eternal vigilance and strict adherence to the Governor’s Stay at Home Order and masking requirements. These are by far the most important things you can do to protect yourself from this merciless virus.

During this Easter Weekend, the commissioners and the Task Force are praying for all residents of Tioga County, that you and your family stay safe and healthy during this troubled time.

We will defeat this virus, and with the loss of one of our own, now more than ever, the Task Force needs your help to ensure no other residents suffer a similar fate.

Community means everyone. You MUST Do your part.

Stay Home, Stay Safe, Stay Healthy, and Wash your hands.
