First Annual “Walk For Recovery,” September 24

by Andrew Moore - September 24, 2022

WELLSBORO – National Recovery Month starts in September. During the month it helps educate Americans on how substance treatment and mental health services help those with these disorders to live a healthy and rewarding lives, as well as celebrates gains made by those in recovery.

Tioga County is holding the first annual “Walk For Recovery” event on September 24, 2022 – beginning at 10am on The Green in Wellsboro.

The walk will continue downtown in Wellsboro along Main Street with banners and signs to raise awareness for mental health and substance abuse treatment. Speakers will be sharing personal stories of recovery on The Green, and food and resources will be made available.
