Find Your Forever Friend!
Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries is a no-kill shelter, fulfilling their mission of giving cats and dogs a second chance at finding a loving home. Meet some of these adorable animals by watching the video above, or reading about their sweet personalities below. If any of these friends seem like the perfect fit for you, adoption applications can be found here.
Cats:
Cinderblock – Friendly and outgoing, Cinderblock has amazed all the volunteers at the shelter. He was once a shy, stray cat, but now is very sociable, and would be great in any home. He welcomes people, paws at the door for attention, and gets along well with everyone.
Scully – Similar to Cinderblock, Scully once was shy, but has now become one of the most social cats at Second Chance. He is friendly, cuddly, and sweet. This handsome boy will be an amazing addition to any home.
Cayenne – If you have dogs or other cats at home, Cayenne is the perfect choice for you. She absolutely loves to be with other animals, as well as people. Once she trusts you, she will be your best friend!
Wendy – Sweet little Wendy doesn’t let her past get her down. She was found on a college campus by students, and wasn’t in good condition at the time. The students brought her in to Second Chance, and now she is very healthy and ready for her forever home. She is one of the sweetest cats they have, loves to meow to get your attention, adores people, and loves to cuddle.
Dogs:
Ruxson – Ruxson is a 6-month old huskie mix. He is very friendly, loves people, and would be a great addition to any home.
Franklin – Franklin loves to play and run, and therefore, would thrive in a home with lots of room and places to play. He prefers to be in a home without other pets, but he really loves people!
Speck – Little Speck would do best in a very patient, caring home. He would thrive with an owner who would be able to give him attention, but also give him his space, too. Overall, he is a great lap dog!
If you cannot adopt, donations are always appreciated. Dry cat and dog food, wood pellet cat litter, toys, blankets, and towels are just a few of the items you can donate. Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated, and can be made here ( https://www.secondchanceas.org/donate ).
Hours of operation are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12pm-5pm. Their Heading Home Center is located at 725 Gee Rd., Tioga, PA 16946. Additional contact information for Second Chance is listed below:
