Kristen Patt, owner of The Yellow Basket Shop, joins us today on Home Page to talk about their Fall Festival happening this Saturday, September 19th from 10am-5pm. The tradition started when her grandparents, who owned the basket shop for 15 years back in 1988, would set up a large tent and offer baskets, soups, and assorted baked goods.

“I wanted to keep that tradition going but offer it to the local artisans and make it a really big event for everyone,” Patt said.

This year, there are many vendors and activities, including:

Logan Route, a local country singer, performing from 2pm-6pm
From My Shelf Books with seasonal children’s books
Morris Fire Department with fresh-cut fries and pierogies
Cedar Mountain Wildfire Crew with hamburgers and hotdogs
An Interscholastic Equestrian Team with a horse photo booth

Homemade soups, apple cider, donuts, and other bake sale items
