Embrace Your Inner Artist At “The Studio”

by Veronica Seymour - April 21, 2022

I stopped by The Studio of Troy last week to talk with Artist/Owner Michelle Blade about her paint studio and what gave her inspiration to open this type of business.

Michelle explained that their family is very involved in the arts and that raising kids here in our community there isn’t much for kids to do, so she always envisioned starting something to get kids more involved with the arts.

Michelle and her husband Jim are very involved in our community from Scouts, Troy Community Theatre, Music, and Drama at the Schools they have a passion for the arts. When the building came up for purchase they bought it and started working toward The Studio.

Michelle offers kids classes every Monday evening, and the artwork these kids produces is outstanding, I love seeing the parents post every week, she also offers parent and kids painting events, and various adult classes. If you are interested in a work-related function for team building or a day out with the girls or boys she can do that for you as well. She has several openings for a few adult classes. Check out her Facebook page for the monthly calendar, or the calendar on her door at the shop located at 795 Canton Street, Troy, PA 16947.

She tries to have hours every day but you can always call her at 570-529-3544 or message her on her Facebook page.
