CV Presents, “Mary Poppins!”

by Amiee Jones - March 7, 2018

The drama club at Cowanesque Valley High School is offering you a “Jolly Holiday” this weekend, as they perform the musical “Mary Poppins”. Complete with one-of-a-kind backdrops, British accents, and accurate costumes, the experience will sweep you away in to this timeless story. Director Natalie DelVecchio promises the favorite songs from the classic movie that we all know and love, but some differences, as well, that will keep the audience surprised and engaged. She chose “Mary Poppins” because in addition to having a strong soprano who could handle the role of Mary, she wanted to showcase her numerous talented seniors. The various roles in this storyline afforded that opportunity.

The students have been working on the production since Christmas time, and are prepared and excited to perform for an audience. Sprinkled throughout the play are impressive harmony parts and group choreography that take the production to another level. The finished product is sure to dazzle and entertain!
It goes without saying…this play is “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”!
