COVID-19 and Tioga County

Laurel & Commissioners share how we can lessen impact

by John Vogt - March 19, 2020

Beginning tomorrow morning, you will be able to go to the top right-hand section of The Home Page Network and any of our products, including Wellsboro Home Page, Mansfield Home Page, Blossburg Home Page and Home Page Sports for regional information on COVID-19. This section will include the latest geographical information on the virus. Each day we will be publishing local COVID-19 updates and broadcast information to help you and your family navigate these challenging times. You will also find essential links and resources to help answer all of your COVID-19 questions.

Down the left navigation bar of this new section, you will find several CHANNELS from COMMUNITY LEADERS. These channels will include the latest regional COVID-19 information from the Tioga County Commissioners Office, Laurel Health Centers, the Wellsboro Police Department, Representative Clint Owlett’s office, Governor Tom Wolf’s office the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and others. Go to these Home Page Channels anytime for latest information posted from their offices.

On today’s broadcast, Home Page talks with Jim Nobles, President, and CEO of Laurel Health Centers and County Commissioner Erick Coolidge about COVID-19 and the preparations that have been made to make Tioga County as ready as possible for COVID-19.

The impact on Tioga County can be mitigated by following the guidelines put forth by our local, state, and federal agencies. You can find vital information for protecting you and your family here at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Please take a few moments to watch this broadcast and follow the guidelines given by Jim Nobles and Erick Coolidge.

Remember to stay calm, be an encouragement to others, pray, as we put our ultimate trust in the Lord to see us through this season. Do not fear, don’t lose your sense of humor. Love each other deeply from the heart and last but nor least – WASH YOUR HANDS.
