On July 3, 2019 at Island Park in Blossburg, Mayor Shane Nickerson interviewed members of local churches to showcase their Vacation Bible School. Six churches worked together to provide summer activities each week including the Blossburg Methodist Church, Covington Church of Christ, Cherry Flats Baptist Church, Arnot Community Church, First Baptist Church of Blossburg and the Covington United Methodist Church.

Sherry Stoudt and Sherry Stiner were an integral part of bringing together all of the local churches even across denominational lines to benefit all of the children in the area. Ahin Chakraborty explained the weekly events as a great example of common unity in community.
