Coming To Your Calendar! Part 2
There are plenty of fun activities for you to explore later on this week and this summer as well.
Independence Day is upon us and with that comes the opportunity to go and view some of our areas spectacular local fireworks displays. There will be Fireworks displays this Friday the fourth, starting at dusk over Hammond Lake at Ives Run, in Mansfield at Smythe Park, and at the Wheel Inn in Ralston, near Roaring Branch. And on the fifth in downtown Galeton.
Residents can fish for free this Friday! Fish-for-Free Days allow anyone (resident or non-resident) to legally fish with NO FISHING LICENSE REQUIRED to fish on all Pennsylvania’s waterways on the designated days. All other fishing regulations still apply.
First Fridays are a way of bringing the community together through retail and entertainment in Wellsboro. Every first Friday of the summer months, retailers will stay open until 8:00 pm. During that time, different types of entertainment will take place on Main Street. These events will be free of charge and may include music, face painting, caricatures and scavenger hunts. Each retailer may also have a special sale for the evening.
The Wellsboro Town Band will be Performing tonight at 7 P.M. on the Green. The Town Band is a group of all volunteers who come together every summer to play music for the members of our community. Come out and support some of our areas talented musicians.
Son Treasure Island VBS will be taking place at two locations this summer. First at the First Baptist Church of Blossburg July 27th through the 31st and on the Green in Wellsboro August 11th through the 15th from 6 to 8p.m.
