The Canton varsity football team’s defense has been absolutely dominant the last couple of years. It has won 26 of 29 games, and only gave up on average less than 10 points a game. The Warrior’s only losses came to state champions Bishop Guilfoyle, state champions Steelton-Highspire, and AAAA powerhouse Jersey Shore. During those seasons coach Greg Bellows was directing the defensive side of the ball.

Starting in the youth program Coach Bellows followed his son’s up through the years going from youth football, through Junior High, Junior Varsity, and then onto Varsity. At each step he gained knowledge and honed in his skills as a coach. He appreciates the fact that his wife and family supported him through this time intensive process.

Greg turned in a resignation as a coach at the close of this season. He intends to be available for his sons as they go through college. Bellows did leave the door open to come back in future years. He will be missed this upcoming season.
