The Church of Christ has two ministries for the community to highlight. The first one is the Prayer Shawl Ministry. The group meets every other Thursday from 1:00 – 2:30 pm. Ladies from the church and the community are welcome. As well as yarn donations! Anyone can pick up a shaw at the church or have a family member stop by and pick one up. Message the Facebook page of Church of Christ or call 570-673-5796. Over the past year, over 60 shaws have been given.

The second ministry is Feed My Lambs. The ministry blesses someone with a meal. Volunteers from the church make a meal and deliver it to their home. The name, Feed My Lambs, comes from John 21:15. The ministry provides physical food that people need and shows the love of Jesus Christ by giving them sustenance to receive spiritual food. Similar to the Prayer Show, anyone can call for a meal or a family member of the family can call. Reasons for meals could be: surgery, illness, death of a loved one, new to the neighborhood, lonely, busy caregiver, struggling for whatever reason. Feel free to call Marilyn Gibble 814-204-2763.
