Celebrate Earth Day at Mill Cove

Community favorite event “Earth Day at Mill Cove” will be taking place on April 22, 2023 from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

After arriving at the site, please check in at the Main/Information Pavilion (main large pavilion along roadway) for registration, welcome bag, and map of area/vendors. There are local, state and federal organizations in each of the 8 PAVILIONS, along with the many vendors located in the VENDOR AREA.

Please feel free to take advantage of our free shuttle bus that will be available all day with pick up at Mansfield University and the Mansfield Plaza and drop off at the Mill Cover Environmental Area.

Directions to Mill Cove –
In Mansfield Pa turn onto Decker Street, continue on Pickle Hill Road (approximately 4 miles), at T intersection turn left onto Mill Creek Road (SR1004) to 3036 Mill Creek Road.

8:00 AM – 10:00 AM Exhibit/Vendor Set Up

10:00 AM Welcome/Earth Day Begins – Information Pavilion (Main Pavilion/8)

10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Vendors highlight their knowledge and skills on all things related to the outdoors – Vendor Area.

10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Local, State, and Federal Agencies – Pavilions 1-9

10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Kayaking, Archery – See map.

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Tree Planting – Information Pavilion (Main/Pavilion 8)

11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon Birding – Rob Fergus -Audubon – Information Pavilion (Main Pavilion/8)

12:00 Noon –? Hiking – Information Pavilion (Main Pavilion/8)

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM How Birds See the World – Rob Fergus, Audubon – Information Pavilion (Main Pavilion/8)

1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Music – Charlie Fox Pavilion – please bring chairs/blankets for seating.

Time to be determined Children’s Story Hour – Mansfield Free Public Library/planting activity.

Smokey Bear and Bobber the Water Safety Dog will be making an appearance throughout the day.
