Canton & North Penn-Mansfield Host XC Meets
On Tuesday, September 12, North Penn-Mansfield hosted Athens and Sayre, and Canton hosted Towanda and Wyalusing. First, let’s go over the meet at North Penn-Mansfield.
In the girls race, Athens beat North Penn-Mansfield 25-30, and topped Sayre 15-50. Also, North Penn-Mansfield beat Sayre, 15-50.
In individual results, Athens’ Sara Bronson took first with a time of 21:27, Athens Ana Hughes took second with a time of 21:37. North Penn-Mansfield’s Jaci Fairchild, Madelynn Johns, and Addison Farrer finished the top 5 with times of 21:49, 22:10, and 22:34.
In the boys race, Athens beat North Penn-Mansfield 18-44 and topped Sayre, 17-45. Sayre edged North Penn-Mansfield, 10-11.
In individuals, Athens Graham Danck and Jacob Shores took the top 2 spots with times of 17:13 and 19:42. North Penn-Mansfield’s Jode Rohl took third at 20:28. Athens Matthew Rossettie took 4th at 21:25. And Sayre’s Hunter Kimball secured 5th at 21:50.
North Penn-Mansfield cross country will be racing again September 19 on the road at Sullivan County. We’ll be back with the results from Canton after a quick word from one of our sponsors.
Welcome back! Let’s take a look at the Canton meet.
In the girls race, Wyalusing beat Towanda 20-42, Towanda topped Canton, 15-50, and Wyalusing also beat Canton, 15-50.
In individual results, Towanda’s Izzy Larsen took first with a time of 21:02. And Wyalusing’s Megan King, Riley Porter, Alysha Bolts and Laina Beebe rounded out the top 5 with times of 21:42, 22:40, 23:58, and 24:10.
In the boys race, Towanda topped Wyalusing 22-36 and Canton 18-41, while Wyalusing beat Canton 24-32.
In individuals, Wyalusing’s Trennan Tewksvury took first at 17:49. Towanda’s Eric McGee and Jack Tavani placed second and third with times of 18:05 and 18:08. Canton’s Lawrence Halbfoerster took fourth at 18:11. And to round out the top 5, Towanda’s Jacob Carr at 18:35.
