Canton Ministerium Sponsors Lenten Lunches
The bustling in the kitchen was evident as I entered the Ecumenical Parish. Lenten Luncheon on the Tuesdays leading up to Easter is a tradition in Canton. For six Tuesdays, a different church cooks lunch then members from all the churches in the greater Canton area attend the lunch. A speaker from the “hosting” church gives words of encouragement. The best part of the lunches is the noise and laughter of fellowship from the Christian community as it comes together to bread bread in celebration of the upcoming Easter holiday.
