Borough Council Meeting – 12/09/19

On Monday, December 9 – the Wellsboro Borough Council held a meeting at the Wellsboro Borough office.

A number of motions were passed and Chief Bodine reported on the success of Dickens of a Christmas. Mayor John Wheeler also recognized council member Dr. Bill Yacovissi for his years of service on the council. A reminder about garbage pickup for the holidays was made, stating the week of Christmas, garbage normally picked up on Wednesday will be picked up on Thursday. Garbage normally picked up on Thursday will be picked up on Friday. The week of New Year’s Day, garbage pickup will occur as normally scheduled.

During the council meeting, the floor was opened for public comments. One citizen addressed concerns regarding the maintenance and condition of Sherman Street. A full account of the exchange can be viewed in today’s video feature.
