Blossburg is celebrating its 150th anniversary on August 27 from 5pm to midnight. Mayor Shane Nickerson gives us an insider on what the event schedule will look like; it’ll include fun activities such as inflatables and games for kids and singing happy birthday with fireworks! Blossburg wants to dig deep into their roots and is encouraging everybody to dress up in 1871 attire!

Nickerson highlights that what makes Blossburg Blossburg is the people; this was true in 1871, just as it is still true today. Another thing that hasn’t changed but is continuously progressing is the gem of Blossburg, Island Park.

The Blossburg’s 150th Celebration is a historical event you won’t want to miss and if you can’t make it on August 27, then make sure to check out Island Park whenever you can; you won’t be disappointed.
