Christmas has passed, it’s a New Year and you’ve probably been enjoying the gifts you’ve received over the holidays.
But you also have gifts that outlast the season, that are a part of you. Those gifts are the talents, the abilities, and the time that you have to bless those around you. How have you been using your gifts to bless the ones you love and the people in the community you live in? Each of us has been blessed with unique talents and abilities. Many of us, growing up, have often heard that we’re much like fingerprints or snowflakes. We each characteristics different from anyone else and the beauty that comes with that uniqueness.
You may not feel particularly gifted, but think about the way you’re wired. There are some things about you that are meant to bless the people around you. You may have a warmth about you, and you may not even realize it but when you walk into a room and engage people in conversation, you lift their spirits just when they needed it most. The may have the ability to serve through some physical means and you can participate in community service volunteer opportunities and other events in the community. You might have the ability to teach and communicate to those around you things they wouldn’t understand, but they come naturally to you. You may have the ability to give – there may be resources that you have that others need and they’re just waiting for someone like you to come along and help them.
We are all gifted with certain talents and abilities that we might serve those around us for a good that goes far beyond our own comfort and ability. But where do these gifts come from, and how do we use them best? Pastor TJ shares more in today’s video feature. Thanks for watching!
