Back & Neck Pain? Laurel Health’s Chiropractic Team Has You Covered!
Are you suffering from back, neck, or joint pain? Laurel Health has you covered! Join us as Laurel chiropractors Dr. Steven Heffner and Dr. Sarah Taylor share their personalized approach to care and how they empower patients to address chronic pain, recover from injury, and improve back, neck, and joint health to prevent future problems.
WHO SHOULD SEEK CHIROPRACTIC CARE?
Laurel Health’s expert chiropractors work in tandem with your family doctor to safely treat and improve pain, inflammation, mobility, posture, and range of motion. People with neck, back, or joint pain; musculoskeletal dysfunction; chronic pain; or issues with their mobility, flexibility, or balance can all benefit from chiropractic care.
WHAT SYMPTOMS AND CONDITIONS CAN A CHIROPRACTOR TREAT?
In addition to the back and neck strain caused by prolonged sitting in office jobs, rural communities like ours also have many jobs involving physical labor in factories, construction, farms, landscaping, and auto body shops carrying a greater risk for back and joint injuries. Some of the most common conditions and symptoms that benefit from chiropractic care include:
- Chronic pain in the back, neck, muscle, joints, and nerves
- Sciatica and fibromyalgia
- Headaches / migraines
- Tingling, numb, or painful extremities
- Range of motion, posture, and mobility issues
- Carpal tunnel
- Sports or repetitive motion injuries like golfer or tennis elbow
- Breech presentation during pregnancy
The Laurel Health Centers believe in safe, expert chiropractic care for all. Chiropractic care plays a key role in pain management and the rehabilitation of injury, but cost is often a barrier to care, as many private chiropractors cannot accept a wide selection of insurances. The Laurel Health Centers seek to remove cost barriers by offering high-quality chiropractic care to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay. As federally qualified health centers, we accept major commercial insurances as well as Medical Assistance, Medicare, and sliding fee programs for uninsured and underinsured patients.
APPROACH TO TREATMENT
Treatment is customized based on your unique needs and comfort level. Backed by real science and carefully tailored to each person, Laurel Health’s chiropractic services include a wide variety of therapies appropriate for patients of all ages, including non-invasive adjustment techniques for patients traditionally unable to see a chiropractor like young children, seniors, and back surgery patients.
In addition to their rigorous medical training and extensive experience, Laurel Health’s chiropractic team also specializes in advanced program techniques. Dr. Taylor is certified in the Webster technique, which aids in treating and resolving breech presentation during pregnancy, and Dr. Heffner is certified in the McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), an acclaimed assessment and treatment program that addresses a wide range of back, neck, and limb issues.
