It was a hit – an evening of “the arts”!

Wednesday evening hundreds of people gathered at the Wellsboro Administration building to celebrate the talented students of Wellsboro Area School District. There were over 1,200 pieces of artwork on display in addition to the Women’s Ensemble and Dickens Choir. The Steps of Expression took the stage and performed many creative routines. The kids also had a blast doing interactive art with Pop’s Culture Shoppe and giving “shout outs” on the radio as KC 101.5 broadcasted the festivities.

The Annual District Art show is a great way to showcase the vast talents in the community. It takes months of planning and preparation, but when it all comes together it is such a benefit for the students. The high school, middle school, and elementary art teachers collaborate to provide the best opportunity for all art students K-12. However, it couldn’t happen without all the hours/days dedicated by parent volunteers – they are spectacular!
