Arise Cafe Opens In Wellsboro
Arise Cafe opened its doors to the public in June of 2021 and offers a variety of drinks, baked goods, breakfast foods and more. The restaurant is nestled next to 365 Fitness, located at 299 Tioga Street in Wellsboro.
The cafe serves a variety of specialty coffees featuring blends from Conspiracy Coffee in Mansfield, as well as their own uniquely crafted house blend. They also serve paninis, wraps, salads, and baked goods – all featuring locally procured fresh ingredients. One of their signature items is their “breakfast bowls,” including egg bowls and waffles bowls.
Owner, Melissa Owlett, was inspired to start the business as a result of requiring catering needs through her other business, New Creation Events. In addition to being able to cater her own events, the restaurant dining room is also available to reserve for private parties like birthdays, bridal showers and baby showers.
“My favorite thing about Arise Cafe is having the opportunity to create unity within the community,” said Owlett. “I grew up in the restaurant business with my parents. And I just remember how special that was. You have your locals, and your regulars, and it was just a really sweet thing and to be able to bring that to Wellsboro is pretty cool.”
Arise Cafe is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 7:00pm, and on Saturdays from 7:00am to 2:00pm. The kitchen closes at 2:00pm. However, baked goods, soups, salads and drinks are available throughout the day. Orders may be called in by phone at 570-724-1100. Visit their website or Facebook page for more information.
