GROW/Chamber Breakfast Meeting
The Annual Chamber/Grow Breakfast Meeting was held at the historic Penn Wells Hotel on Thursday, November 7th. Home Page cameras were there to capture the event. Commissioner Roger Bunn acted as Master of Ceremonies.
The meeting began with a welcome by Commissioner Bunn and invocation by Representative Clint Owlett. Next, Chamber President Blake Maxson opened the Chamber Business Meeting. Followed by GROW Director Ferlin Patrick with the GROW business meeting.
Commissioner Bunn introduced a number of dignitaries, including: Regional Manager for Senator Toomey, Frank Mazza, Field Representative for Senator Joe Scarnati, Deb Rudy & Chuck Dillon, Tioga County Commissioners Eric Coolidge , Roger Bunn & Mark Hamilton, Mayor of Wellsboro, John Wheeler.
Multiple guest speakers addressed the attendees, including Congressman Fred Keller, Representative Clint Owlett, and Director for U.S. Department Health & Human Services, Region 3 Matt Baker.
Congressman Fred Keller; currently serves on the House Committee on Education and Labor and the House Oversight and Reform Committee. He served five terms in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Fred has been married to his wife Kay for 34 years. They have two adult children.
Representative Clint Owlett; serving the 68th district, has been appointed to serve on House committees: Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Appropriations, Game and Fisheries, and Health. He has also been appointed to the Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee. Clint and his wife Lauren, have four young children.
Director, U.S. Department Health & Human Services, Region 3 Matt Baker; Matt Baker was appointed by the White House in February 2018 to serve as Regional Director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for Region III. As a Presidential Appointee, Mr. Baker provides executive leadership as the primary representative for the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Mr. Baker served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for 13 consecutive terms (25 years) and was the Majority Chairman of House Health Committee.
