A Rocky Mountain Christmas By Ted Vigil Is Friday, Dec. 10

A Rocky Mountain Christmas By Ted Vigil Is Friday, Dec. 10

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - December 7, 2021

Ted Vigil (shown) looks like John Denver and sounds like him, too.

At 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10, Ted Vigil will present “A Rocky Mountain Christmas,” a holiday show tribute to John Denver, in the Coolidge Theatre at the Deane Center at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro.

Vigil’s resemblance to music icon John Denver is uncanny. Denver died in 1997 when his experimental aircraft crashed into the Pacific Ocean.

He has been performing his John Denver tribute show since 2007. At the Wellsboro concert, Vigil will sing and play some of Denver’s most famous tunes, such as “Rocky Mountain High”, “Christmas is for Cowboys”, “Back Home Again”, “Sunshine on My Shoulders”, “Eagles and Horses” and “Christmas Like a Lullaby.” He has wowed audiences from coast to coast and played twice for Denver’s own “Windstar Foundation” in Aspen, Colorado.

One long-time Denver fan commented, “I was completely blown away by Ted Vigil. From the moment he set foot on the stage, I was mesmerized by his voice and his incredible resemblance to the late and great John Denver. Ted Vigil’s voice, mannerisms and humor were so much like John’s that I had to keep reminding myself it was a ‘tribute show’…that wasn’t really Johnny up on that stage – Ted Vigil is that good. He brings John back to the stage, if only for a little while…and the experience he creates is magical.”

Admission is $25. For more information or for tickets, call (570) 724-6220 or visit www.deanecenter.com. Children 12 and under will be admitted free when accompanying a paying adult; however, seats must be reserved for all attending.
