Little League Opening Day in Canton
The grounds at New Life Church were a buzz with kids, parents, music and food! Saturday, April 30th was opening day for Little Leaguers and their parents in Canton. The idea came from NLC secretary Jana Kauffman to create a fun opening day experience but the Little League Board members had been contemplating such an event as well. The two came together and created a great experience for the community. There were organized photos, food, games, events, music and a mascot!
During the broadcast, I was joined by my husband and Coaches Corner anchor, Craig Route. Craig interviewed some current Little Leaguers! While I focused on the NLC Representative and Little League Board Member, Travis Fitch and parent/coach and Little League Board Member, Lee Preston. We chatted about how this event came together and what coaches focus on during the upcoming season.
