Second Chance In Dire Need of Volunteers
Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries in Tioga, Pennsylvania has seen a rising number of animals come into their care recently and is in desperate need of volunteer assistance.
The no-kill sanctuary is looking for dedicated volunteers especially, who can help on scheduled day(s), but they will accept any help they can get. Their needs include dog walking, cleaning of the facility, feeding the animals, playtime and attention to help acclimate the dogs and cats to human interaction.
In addition to volunteering, they can always make use of donations. Monetary donations are preferred, as they can delegate finances to their greatest needs, but they also accept wood pellet cat litter, dog food & cat food, tough dog toys, cat treats, paper towels and all cleaning supplies.
Second Chance has been serving Tioga County for 20 years, this year. They provide animal-friendly environments that respect the dignity and total needs of all pets in their care. To learn more about their program, visit secondchanceas.org or call 570-376-3646. They are open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12-5 p.m.
