Panthers Down Midd-West, 35-14
The North Penn-Mansfield Panthers hosted Midd-West on October 1 at Island Park in Blossburg and walked away with the win, 35-14.
North Penn took an early lead as Panther quarterback Carson Dominic connected with Kohen Lehman for the score. They scored again in the second quarter as Sammy Lawrence ran in it from 16 yards for a 14-0 lead. Cam Fabian found the end zone for their second score in the quarter, increasing their lead to 21-0 after the extra point.
Before the half, Midd-West cut into the Panthers lead on a sneak from Christian Register from one yard out, making it 21-7.
Third quarter, Midd-West possession, Register threw an interception to Fabian, setting up the Panthers next drive. Fabian capped it off with a 28 yard connection pass from Dominic for the score.
They scored again in the third off a run by Kohen Lehman, 35-7.
Midd-West made the final score of the night in the fourth off an Austin Doorman one-yard run. The Panthers came out on top, 35-14.
The win improves the Panthers to 3-3 in the NTL large school standings and they will be back in action next week when they play the Athens Wildcats.
