Resources For Business
Over the last few days, significant steps have been taken to get financial help to Tioga Couty businesses hit hard by COVID-19. This broadcast is about the funding that is here and coming and how to access those dollars.
On this update, Jim Nobles, who is the spokesperson for the Tioga County COVID-19 Task Force, speaks with Kristin Hamilton, the Executive Director of Develop Tioga and County Commissioner Erick Coolidge, about resources for area business.
Kristian said that she recognizes the fact that area businesses need answers as quickly as possible, and she goes over the steps that businesses can take to begin their applications for assistance.
Kristin went on to discuss the first stimulus package that was approved this past week and signed by the President and how that too will impact our region, especially when it comes to unemployment compensation.
Commissioner Coolidge said that the Tioga County Commissioners have been reaching out on both a Federal and State level for financial resources, and that action will be taking place soon in regard to the funding package that had been mentioned by Kristian. Also, on the State level, the County Commissioners Association Executive Board has met recently and, in that discussion, opened doors for reaching out to our state through our state association to the executive body.
Please take a few short moments to watch this broadcast. We will be featuring another update from the Tioga County COVID-19 Task Force soon.
