4H Club Engages In “Cupcake Wars”
Tioga County’s 4H club hosted a cupcake wars for their members last Sunday, February 12 in Wellsboro. Using the theme of Disney, each team chose to decorate using either the traditional method (decorating individual cupcakes) or using a pull apart method (where all the cupcakes create a complete cake). Taylor Leach, Tioga County 4H Extension Educator, is new to the job but is excited to bring back events like these. “It was great to see these kids come out! It seemed like they enjoyed themselves,” she commented.
Congratulations to first place winners Elizabeth and Evelyn Pino, Wellsboro 4H members, with their Princess and the Frog and Little Mermaid cupcakes! Second place winners were Lillian McNamara and Juniper Cowan, from Little Valley Ranch 4H with their Lilo & Stitch cupcakes. In third placer were Liam Reese and Skye Lusk, Canyon Country 4H members, who created a pull apart Stitch cupcake.
