I had the pleasure of speaking with Cathy Jenkins of Alparon Park about the upcoming Maple Festival. The Festival has a lot to offer from rides, Monster Truck Show, Demolition Derby, Maple Product Judging, Syrup and Candy classes, Mac N. Cheese Showdown, and the most famous Pancake Eating Contest.
This year they have a new ride vendor Sunshine Amusements and they are very excited to welcome them. There will be free entertainment American Idol Finalist Aaron Kelly, Saturday, and Canton native Logan Route, Sunday will be performing. There will be a truck/jeep and rad rod show Saturday and a car/bike show on Sunday.

Cathy said the most popular event is the Pancaking Eating Contest, which is for ages 3 and up and they give out cash prizes. Stay tuned to see how many pancakes one can eat!

The Maple Festival is Saturday & Sunday, April 23rd and 24th from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and you can get pancakes with homemade maple syrup all day on both days.
