2019 Tioga County Sports Hall of Fame

The Tioga County Sports Hall of Fame inducted 13 new members on Saturday, March 30 at their 34th annual banquet held out at the Tioga County Fairgrounds.

Former athletes from Wellsboro, Mansfield, North Penn, Liberty, Cowanesque Valley, Williamson, and Elkland gathered and shared stories about their playing days and their favorite memories. Tim Frazier started the event, then recognized the newly deceased Hall of Fame members, an introduction of Tioga County High School honorees, and the induction of the Class of 2019.

The 2019 Tioga County Sports Hall of Fame Class includes:

Steve Boyce – Wellsboro (football)
Christopher Collum – Williamson (wrestling)
Mike Gamble – Wellsboro (tennis)
Kevin Hill – Mansfield (basketball)
Ben Howe – Elkland (golf)
Lianne Kriner – Liberty (coach/contributor)
Jacob Lane – Cowanesque Valley (football)
Erin Laurenson Green – Elkland (basketball)
Art Shaver – Williamson (basketball)
Chelsea Troutman – Mansfield (basketball)
Geoff Waksmunski – North Penn (basketball)
Kate Waksmunski – North Penn (volleyball)
Patti West Holtz – Wellsboro (tennis)

The Tioga County Sports Hall of Fame also honors outstanding high school senior athletes each year in recognition of their contribution to the sports life of the respective schools during the past four years. Being honored in 2019 include:
