New Community Athletics Complex Opens
The Wellsboro Area School District dedicated the new Wellsboro Community Athletic Complex on Friday, August 18. Pastor TJ Freeman gave the invocation to start the event, Wellsboro Superintendent Brenda Freemen spoke to those in attendance under the bleachers as rain poured over the stadium, and a ceremonial ribbon was cut to officially open the new complex.
The first game at the new Wellsboro Community Athletic Complex is this Friday, August 25 as the Hornets take on the Canton Warriors at 7:00 pm, followed by Swarm the Hive, the official kick off party for the 2017-18 athletic season, on Sunday, August 27 at 4:00 pm.
