Today’s feature focuses on our monthly photo contest, giving you a look at Tioga County through the lens of photographers.

The winner of the photo contest for February was Lisa Sumner, who came to the Home Page studio to receive her gift – a $100 gift certificate for Timeless Destination and $200 in cash.

Each month, Wellsboro Home Page gives you the opportunity to enter your photos for our contest. We encourage our WellsboroHomePage.com viewers to send in one of their favorite photos taken in Tioga County; it can be a photo of anything – people, places, things – it just has to be taken in Tioga County, PA.

We then post these photos on WellsboroHomePage.com, under the Top Photos section located on the left-side navigation bar. At the end of each month, a panel of local, professional photographers reviews those photos, and their selections are sent to The Kennedy Center, in Washington, DC., for final evaluation.

Our selected photographer of the month will then receive a special award from WellsboroHomePage.com, which we will present to you – here, in our studios, right on the set – with the help of our anchors. This gift may be cash, a special dinner at one of our finer restaurants, a weekend get-away, or a gift card from B&H Photo, Amazon.com, or another business we hope will bring out the photographer in you. Because we benefit as much as our viewers do from your submissions, we make it a priority to choose a special gift for our winner each month.
