A Dream on the Green
Tioga County is known for the beauty that constantly surrounds us each day. Heather Mee, a local graphic designer, artist, and photographer, combines her many passions and talents in a way that shares the beauty of Tioga County through her creative outlet, Wellsboro Woodlands.
Recently, Heather and her family purchased a bed and breakfast, known as “Wellsboro Inn on the Green.” Owning the Inn had always been a dream of theirs, and through this, the family hopes to provide a positive light to the community. This ideal location puts their guests in the middle of downtown Wellsboro, providing the opportunity to explore this quiet, friendly community. The well-known Wynken, Blynken, and Nod landmark centered on The Green, can be seen and heard from various locations around the property, which is one of the reasons this location is so special.
In honor of this, the three beautifully furnished rooms are appropriately named Wynken, Blynken, and Nod. Each room also features Heather’s handmade “Wellsboro Woodlands” gifts. Pillows, quilts, postcards, canvas prints, calendars, candles, flowers, and photography complement each of the unique rooms. In addition, there have been many new improvements to the Inn, including a redone patio, pond, new waterfall, and the repainted kitchen walls that were ironically the same as the original color in 1938!
Heather hopes to open up the Inn to host small study groups, bridal showers, baby showers, weddings, and more. If you would like more information about the Wellsboro Inn on the Green or to see more of Heather’s creations through Wellsboro Woodlands, please visit their website.
