On Saturday, December 14th students of the Grand Canyon FFA Chapter in Wellsboro organized a “Wreaths Across America” event at the Wellsboro cemetery to honor our fallen servicemen and women.

The event began with a ceremony and local veterans placed wreaths in front of flags representing each branch of our nation’s armed forces. After the ceremony concluded, attendees collected wreaths and placed them upon graves belonging to area veterans.

On January 17th the FFA chapter will be hosting a trivia night at Timeless Destination in Wellsboro to raise funds for next year’s event. Wreaths Across America is a nationwide initiative that raises money throughout the year to fund the aforementioned wreaths. To learn more about the initiative, visit WreathsAcrossAmerica.org.
