Williamson Sweeps Canton in Straight Sets
The Williamson Lady Warriors powered past the Canton Lady Warriors on Tuesday night, claiming a decisive 3-0 victory on the road.
The opening set was tightly contested, with both squads trading points, but Williamson managed to pull ahead late for a 25-19 win. The second set proved to be a nail-biter as Canton fought hard to even the match, but Williamson edged them out once again, 25-23.
Momentum swung entirely in Williamson’s favor in the third set, as they dominated 25-11 to secure the sweep.
With the loss, Canton drops to 2-2 on the season and will look to bounce back tonight when they travel to face rival Troy (3-1) at 7:30 p.m.
