Wellsboro Wins Pre-NTL Track & Field!

Williamson and North Penn traveled to Wellsboro for the final regular season track meet this year. Some of the events and their respective results are as follows:

In the girls 100 meter dash Lauren Bleggi took first place with a time of 13 seconds followed by Jenny Loher at 13.7 seconds and Destinee Wanner with a time of 14.10.

Erin Dempsey of North Penn won the girls 800 meter relay with a time of 2 minutes 38 seconds.

In the girls 100 meter hurdles event, Kaelyn Keane won with a time 17.7 seconds followed by Elise Becker with a time of 18.5 seconds.

The women’s 300 meter hurdles was won by Raisa Rogers with a time of 51.7 seconds.

The 4×800 meter women’s relay was won by North Penn’s squad of Violet Learn, Brittany Weiskopff, Logan Wilson, and Erin Dempsey with a time of 10 minutes, 47 seconds.

On the boys side David Zavetsky won the 1600 meter run with at time of 5 minutes 12 seconds. In the 110 meter hurdles Blair Carson took it with a time of 17.8 seconds.

In the 300 meter event Jack Chambers won with a time of 44.2 seconds.

Wellsboro’s squad of Blair Carson, Mike Pietropola, Dan Brooks, and Earl Brooks won the 4×100 meter relay with a time of 46.2 seconds.

Dakota Corwin of Williamson won the boys high jump with a jump of 5 feet 9 inches followed by Rich Tardieu of Wellsboro at 5 feet 7 inches.

The pole vault was won by Ivan Swartz of Williamson clearing 12 feet 6 inches.

Mike Pietropola took the long jump at 18 feet 6.5 inches followed by Dakota Corwin of Williamson at 18 feet 5 inches.

Will Lupokowski of Wellsboro won the discus throwing 122 feet 11 inches and Kaleb Rice took second throwing 122 feet 7 inches.

Bo Burleigh won the Javelin throw throwing for 148 feet. On the Girls side, Wellsboro’s Lady Hornets won with a score of 83 followed by North Penn with a score of 65.50 The Wellsboro boys won with a score of 102 followed by Williamson with a score of 55.
