Earth Day at Mill Cove 2018
The 7th annual Earth Day event at Mill Cove in Mansfield attracted people of all ages. With bird walks, falconry demonstrations, zip lining, energy exhibits, marshmallow archery, recycling crafts, children’s games, food and local vendors there was something for everyone.
Ever since it’s conception in 1970, Earth Day has been bringing people together from all walks of life to promote awareness and inspire change. It is a day celebrated by over 1 billion people in 193 countries in what is the largest civic-focused day of action in the world.

Borough App & Clean-Up Details
Today on Wellsboro Home Page, Borough Manager, Scot Boyce, introduces the new Borough of Wellsboro app. The app is already available for Android devices and will be downloadable from Apple App Store in the near future. The borough’s goal is that the app can aid in communication with the community about alerts and make other borough information readily available to the public. Alerts may include road closings, parking maps, and even water boil advisories – all at the touch of your fingertips. “There is no bill pay option as of now,” says Boyce. “But maybe further in the future.”

Rotary hosts Candidates’ Forum
On Tuesday, April 24 – the Rotary Club of Wellsboro hosted a forum for three of the candidates running for State Representative of the 68th Legislative District. The event took place at the Deane Center in Wellsboro. Coordinator for Rotary, Jim Tutak opened the forum, and the candidates were introduced: Republican candidate Dennis Weaver, Republican candidate Clint Owlett, and Democratic candidate Carrie Heath. Questions from the community were presented by moderator Phil Waber, and each candidate was given 3 minutes to respond. Home Page cameras were there to highlight a few of the questions.

It’s Time for a Senior Shindig!
Tioga County, PA (April 11, 2018) The New Linck School House, located at 90 1⁄2 Linck Hill Road in Morris, will host Sandy Higgins & Friends for a concert on Monday, April 30 at 11:00am. This free event is sponsored by B/S/S/T Area Agency on Aging, Inc., and open to adults 60 and older. Lunch will be served at noon, with a menu of turkey & Swiss cheese on whole wheat bread, fresh oranges, carrot raisin salad, and vanilla ice cream. Reservations are required by 11:00am on April 27.
