Hornets steamroll Wyalusing on Senior Night, 53-0
On a night where the 1977 team celebrated their 40th anniversary of winning the NTL Championship, the 2017 Hornets moved a step closer to winning their third title in five years as they defeated Wyalusing 53-0 on Friday, October 20 during Senior Night.
“Records mean nothing at this point. It doesn’t matter what you did last year and it doesn’t matter what you’ve done this year. It’s rivalry week and we just have to be focused,” Hildebrand said. “These kids have a pretty big goal in mind this year in getting back to the District Championship game. The rivalry game will get them going and motivate them but they’ll be focused and ready to go.”

Creating the Curated, Budgeting Best
First, mix and match and combine the old with the new. Use furniture and accessories of different styles, finishes and textures. Don’t be afraid to put an antique piece next to something brand new. Imagine a vintage, painted dresser with an aged patina and a modern, abstract painting hanging above it. These contrasts help create a room with history that looks like it has evolved over time.

A Story of Hope
It’s official, a new nonprofit large animal rescue center has been approved by the IRS as a 5013 (C) public charity organization which means Krystal Knecht, the president of the Mainesburg, PA Tioga County Equine Rehabilitation Center Inc. can now accept donations. Donors can deduct donations made to the center under IRC Section 170. They are also eligible to receive tax deductible bequests, devices, transfers or gifts under IRC Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.
Krystal’s story rescuing horses began in 2016 when a neighboring county’s animal humane officer contacted her with a horse that was in need of some TLC. The Equine Rehabilitation Center has grown from that single fortuitous act of kindness.

The Briefing – Trick or Treat Safety
On this edition of The Briefing, Police Chief Jim Bodine was once again kind enough to meet with us and offer some seasonally relevant advice. With the parade and candy collecting planned for Wellsboro between 5:00-8:00pm this Saturday, Chief Bodine begins with some trick-or-treating safety tips for parents taking their little ones door-to-door this year.
“We want everyone to have fun, but safety is paramount,” he asserts. He reminds parents to dress their children in bright colors and carry flashlights for maximum visibility to motorists. Parents are also encouraged to have children wait until after trick-or-treating to enjoy their candy, when parents have had a chance to look it over and make sure everything is safe for consumption.
