Hornets dominate Wildcats in 42-7 win
The Wellsboro Varsity Football team racked up 42 points against Athens in their NTL Large School win on Friday, September 8.

Wellsboro Tennis sweeps North Penn-Liberty
The Wellsboro Girls Tennis team remained undefeated with a 7-0 sweep of North Penn-Liberty on Monday, September 11.
With the win the Lady Hornets improve to 5-0 (3-0 NTL) while Liberty falls to 0-5 (0-3 NTL). Wellsboro hosts Towanda on Wednesday, September 13 while Liberty travels to Galeton on Friday, September 15.
Wellsboro XC hosts Cats & Rams
The Wellsboro XC teams hosted Athens and Wyalusing in their regular season opener on Tuesday, September 12.
“The teams ran well. We raced against a strong Wyalusing team,” said Wellsboro head coach Ron Brought. “They are very fast and very well coached. They’re perennial top runners in the NTL so to come out and finish right behind them isn’t a bad day. The runners performed pretty well overall but we definitely have room for improvement.”
