The Annual Tyoga County Car Show
This past Saturday, Tioga County celebrated its annual car show. This year’s event was held at Eisenhauer’s Tioga County Harley-Davidson, located at 2911 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. There were lots of cars, and lots of fun, too! Our Home Page cameras were there.

What makes the car show so fantastic? Many say the cars. But, even more say: the people.

Former President of the Tyoga County Motor Club, Jeff Flannery, says the combination of the Harleys and the cars helps make the whole thing unique. The camaraderie is enjoyed by all. Good people, fantastic cars, and amazing bikes make a super show.

Independence Day Safety
The fourth of July is both a celebration of American history as well as an opportunity to spend time with our loved ones and fellow community members. But being proud to be an American doesn’t mean that we should put those loved ones at risk. It’s important to think of safety FIRST this summer during our celebrations rather than put ourselves in harms way.

The “Y” in Community
The Tioga County YMCA has a new look, thanks to a hard-working group of volunteers, and a generous community. The Y recently finished “Project Rebuild,” where their Advisory Board raised over $540,000 since the Capital Campaign began in 2014. The Y was struggling before Project Rebuild, as the building, located in Mansfield next to the town pool, used to be an old armory, where the gym was rundown, and they had to use old fitness equipment from another YMCA. They were also struggling with awareness. After a survey was conducted at the local Wal-Mart, the majority of people who took the survey did not even know there was a YMCA in Mansfield. However, after 3 years and with the help of local foundations and government organizations, businesses and residents around the community, membership has tripled, and more people than ever are participating in youth and senior programs, and physical fitness activities.
