Cooking with Dad – Hopeful Shepherd’s Pie

Lady Mounties top Mercyhurst, 7-1
Melanie Taylor dropped an infield single in the perfect spot and Laura Lawson slid under the tag to lift Mansfield to a 6-5 walk-off win over Mercyhurst and cap a four-run rally in the bottom of the seventh in PSAC crossover action on Tuesday.
The Mounties cruised to a 7-1 win in the opener behind Ari Young’s 10th win of the season.

Families and students are often overwhelmed by the process of applying for scholarships. Students feel like they won’t qualify for a scholarship due to their household income or insufficient GPA level. According to the experts, there are scholarship opportunities out there for everyone. Scholarship money is a gift that does not need to be paid back, but how do you find a scholarship? We went to a local expert to get some clear answers. John Szentesy is the Associate Director of Financial Aid at Mansfield University. He gave us valuable tips to help students and families successfully attack the scholarship application process.

2017 Molly Dry Invitational
Northern Tier League track & field teams took to Mansfield University to compete in the Molly Dry Memorial Invitational on Thursday, April 13.
Athens (103) won the girls meet, Troy was 8th, Northeast Bradford and Wyalusing tied for 10th, Canton was 14th, Towanda was 15th, Sayre was 17th, Wellsboro was 18th, and North Penn was 19th.
Wyalusing was third in the boys meet, Towanda was 5th, Northeast Bradford was 8th, North Penn was 9th, Canton was 15th, Wellsboro was 16th, Athens was 17th, Sayre was 19th, and Troy and Northern Tioga tied for 22nd.
