The 2024 Wellsboro Comic Con took place on August 10th, with approximately 2,000 attendees enjoying the event. This was the first time con was celebrated over the course of only one day, and at a new centralized location around the Deane Center for the Performing Arts.

“It was fantastic. We were very excite to bring this new model of making it a one day, but free show,” said founder Julian Stam. “And all of our hopes were fulfilled because it was a great show and people had a great time.”

Following the conclusion of this year’s convention, Julian also announced that the former Event Manager, Maia Mahosky, would be stepping down to spend more time with her family. Tracey Fox has stepped in to fill the role and join the Wellsboro Comic Con team.

“I’m really excited to be here and be a part of the Pop’s family,” said Tracey. “And to promote – not only Pop’s – but promote Wellsboro as well.”
