About 10 minutes later, Wellsboro struck again on a set piece. Mason Brill sent a well-placed ball across the center of the field, finding the head of Octavian Wyman, who finished the opportunity to extend the Hornets’ lead.

North Penn-Liberty managed to get on the scoreboard just before halftime, taking advantage of a bad bounce as Mason Forer capitalized on the opportunity.

The Hornets answered almost immediately. Just a minute later, Liam Stevens found an opening in the North Penn-Liberty defense before firing a powerful shot into the upper-right corner of the net.

Wellsboro continued to control the match in the second half, adding to its lead with several impressive scoring opportunities. Among the highlights was a beautiful cross that bounced through the defense before Dylan Tomlinson redirected it toward the far post for another Hornets goal.
