On Wednesday October 22nd the Wellsboro boys soccer team hosted the Loyalsock lancers in their first round of district playoffs. The game went into double overtime with the hornets ultimately coming out on top 2-1.

Early in the match Wellsboro goalkeeper Camden Tom snags a big right foot from outside the box. Connor Lang controlled his zone from the Wellsboro assault Johnathan Carl big center ball. The lancers found their way to the back of the net with only 11 minutes left in the first half. Gabe Deprenda sets his free kick sails it over center and Caleb Hartsock is there for the big header.

In the second half Tom was a brick wall. After a penalty in the box David Seeking sets his Penalty Kick. He fakes and slams the right side of the net. Turing up the score 1 all. After a no score overtime the hornets move into double overtime then corner into Jude Cuneo he feeds it mid to Coen Tennis big finish. Wellsboro moves on narrowly defeating the Lancers 2-1

The Wellsboro boys soccer team will compete in the District 4 AA quarterfinals on Saturday October 25th at Milton high school facing off against the Montoursville Warriors good luck boys.
