Wellsboro Ambulance Subscriptions Could Help Prevent Surprise Bills
Ambulance subscriptions can save lives, and the Wellsboro Fireman’s Ambulance Association is offering them online and through mail. These subscriptions provide families with a basis of operational costs. In other words, if insurance only covers a certain amount of the ambulance’s service, the ambulance subscription then covers whatever is left.
These subscriptions can save a significant amount of money, especially for those who may have a medical condition or are older. Ambulance subscriptions only cover transport by ambulance for emergency purposes for an unlimited time during the subscription year.
Generally, ambulances come with either Basic Life Support or Advanced Life Sport providers, and most of these companies have a subscription program. These companies have agreed to honor each other’s subscriptions which means that someone who lives in Wellsboro can have a Morris Ambulance transport them, and vice versa.
Those who would like to sign up for these subscriptions can either wait for the subscription mailer that is sent out to the community or register online at WellsboroAmbulance.com.
For Wellsboro, a subscription costs $40 for an individual per year, $55 for a household per year, and $100 for a business or camp (employees or camp members at the location) per year. All subscribers must be listed with their names and date of birth as that is their identification in the Wellsboro Fireman’s Ambulance Association’s database. Any generalized form of identification will not be accepted.
Ambulance Subscriptions are not insurance policies and are restricted to those who have health insurance with the exception of Medicaid.
