Ashley’s brother, Brandon Lusk, along with Brothers Callahan performed to a near capacity crowd of Ashley supporters. The concert began with a word from Ashley’s mom, Kim Johns. Kim gave a brief update on her daughter’s condition followed by a heart-felt “thank you” to our community for our prayers and continued support.
You can still contribute to Ashley’s healing by donating at gofundme.com/HelpAshleyHeal.

“Old age, both others’ and our own, is not to be feared. It is to be nothing less than accepted and embraced. Old is, most certainly, not a four-letter word.” Our guest last Tuesday, Harry Getzov, is the author of those words and the book titled gOLD – The Extraordinary Side of Aging Revealed Through Inspiring Conversations. He also writes that when elders become less relevant in our world, we lose their wisdom, their strength and their stories.

THE WEEKLY BRIEFING – ASK THE CHIEF!
On this past week’s briefing with Chief Jim Bodine we asked the chief some viewer-submitted questions.
The first question we asked the Chief concerned the taxi service here in the area. Curt Schramm asked “Is the taxi service in Wellsboro having an impact on D.U.I stops in the borough?” Chief stated that it is working – people are utilizing the service especially after a night out on the town. Chief Bodine did say that it is still a little early to see the true impact of the service.
