WRESTLING SEASON 2015 PREVIEW
Wellsboro only graduated one senior from the 2014 team (Jack Chambers), so they bring back many of their key members of last year’s team. Wellsboro lacks a full roster so team wins will be tough to come by, but the wrestlers that do wrestle, wrestle hard and never quit.
Owen Covert advanced to Districts last year after finishing third in Sectionals, and has a great shot to repeat and possibly advance past the District round. Junior Kaleb Smith and freshmen Robert and Hunter Brown also stand a great at making Districts.
PROUGH’S 21 LEADS HORNETS OVER WILLIAMSON
Sophomore Dalton Prough scored a game, season, and career-high 21 points to lead the Wellsboro Varsity Boys Basketball team to a 80-36 victory over Williamson on Wednesday, December 16.
The JV team beat Williamson 45-12 to improve to 6-0 on the year. Brelo led the team with 16 points and Tuttle pitched in 7.
The win improves the Varsity team’s record to 5-1 on the year. The team will be back in action on Friday, December 18 as they travel to Troy.
MU PSYCH CENTRAL – HOLIDAY STRESS
The holidays may be pleasant for some, but they also bring significant stress and anxiety to many others. Often this stress and anxiety is associated with a number of things including family expectations, toxic relatives, chaotic plans, and unhappy memories associated with the holidays. If this were not enough, holiday stress also increases the likelihood of sickness because of a compromised immune system and cold weather.
