HORNETS CLAIM SECOND STRAIGHT SHUTOUT
For the second straight week the Wellsboro Varsity Football team’s defense failed to allow any points, as they shutout Sayre 28-0 on Friday, September 2.
“We’re on the road again, with the same amount of travel, but we’re going to need to find a way to start faster,” Hildebrand concluded. “We got better as the game went on so that is a positive. We have to keep getting better each week we step on the football field. We need to have a good week of practice and come ready to play because Athens is no slouch. If we’re not ready they’re going to stick it to us.”

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS – ABSENTEE BALLOT
Voting is an important right in our society that provides a platform for us as American citizens to voice our opinion in how our government operates. When voting, it is important to review the candidates because essentially it is our voice that influences the fundamental systems in our community, state, and nation! However the thought of the upcoming election in November is a bit stressful for some people as they are concerned about election day and how they will make it out to the polls. Some individuals may feel like they are unable to vote because of certain inconveniences. Fortunately there is another option! Absentee ballots allow voters to receive ballots via mail, and then send in their vote compared to physically voting at the voting booth/poll! The absentee ballot is beneficial for voters that will not be present on election day, or that are simply too busy!
