In today’s feature video, Jim Howe, President of Second Chance, tells us more about how this fundraiser came to be.

“We’re getting people to come out into the restaurants,” says Howe. “They’re getting to visit restaurants they’ve never been to. CHAMBER HIGHLIGHTS – LATE SUMMER EVENTS
Welcome to another edition of Chamber Highlights with Marsha Chesko. We’ve had a wonderful summer so far, and it’s still plenty left! Why not spend it hiking through the beautiful countryside, or canoeing on one of our area lakes, or maybe take a covered wagon ride through the canyon? There’s always something fun to do outside, and music is everywhere! Come and play the pianos located on Main Street in Wellsboro. These old pianos have been donated and hand-painted by members of the community.

You can also enjoy music outdoors on The Green on Wednesday, July 27th by the “Almost World Famous” Wellsboro Town Band! Bring a lawn chair or blanket and relax and be serenaded by these talented musicians directed by Dr. Adam Brennan.

THE GRAND CANYON PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB
The Grand Canyon photography club has inspired amateur, intermediate and professional photographers to expand their senses and delve deeper spiritually, emotionally and physically into the art of photography for the last sixteen years.
From that gathering of like-minded individuals has come a plethora of exceptional photographic works, many of which are now on display in the lobby gallery at the Deane Center in downtown Wellsboro.
Have you always had a passion and interest in photography? You are invited to share your enthusiasm with others at the annual monthly meeting to be held next on Tuesday, August 9th starting at 7pm in the Gmeiner Art Center located next to the Green Free Library in downtown Wellsboro.
