WEIGHT LOSS COMPETITION RESULTS
On January 16th, Susquehanna Health’s friendly weight-loss competition began with 108 teams comprised of 1,042 members. All four hospitals in the Susquehanna System participated in this challenge. The teams received encouragement and instruction from Susquehanna Health and Wellness educators, Jerrod M. Ferrence and Melissa Gundy.
“This program is not necessarily about weight loss,” said Jerrod, “it is about having fun and building rapport with the hospital and those in the community…it is about health and wellness.”

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE & CEREMONY
Today on Wellsboro Home Page we review the highlights of the special Memorial Day Ceremony that took place here in Wellsboro yesterday, May 25th.
Memorial Day is often confused with Veterans Day, regarding its purpose. If you look at social media these days it is very evident that many people get these two days mixed up, or somehow combine the two observances into one theme.
Veterans Day is another federal holiday which takes place on November 11th. This is the day set apart to honor all who have served in the armed forces. On this special day we take time to remember and thank all the men and women and their families who have served or who are serving in the military.
However, yesterday’s Memorial Day ceremony was to remember and honor those who gave their lives for the cause of freedom. We humbly remember them and thank those surviving family members of lost loved ones with all of our hearts. Let us never forget.

DECORATING DECODED – FLOWER ARRANGING
Creating beautiful, silk floral arrangements is easier than many of you may think. They are a great way to add color and texture to your home décor and while not always inexpensive, they will last forever and can be used over and over again.
First, choose the container you will be using for your arrangement for this will dictate the size of the final product. An arrangement should generally be 1 to 1 ½ times the height of the container. So, if your vase is 12 inches high, then the finished arrangement should measure between 24 – 30 inches tall. You can use anything from baskets to pitchers, or pottery, copper pots and teacups…
